Seizures can be non-convulsive. Many patients in a neurocritical ICU are unconscious and do not produce overt signs of seizing. Untreated seizures can cause further brain injury. People have worked on automating seizure detection for 30 years in order to treat and prevent seizure. Our focus at Wavestate is seizure treatment.
